Thanksgiving is upon us yet again folks! Usually thought of as a simply secular holiday to be enjoyed by Americans regardless of faith, however I thought I'd dive into a bit of a history of the holiday and discuss my own crackpot theory: Was Thanksgiving a Jewish Holiday??

We also eat some Haagen-Dazs Spirit flavored Ice Cream - of course I grabbed the Bourbon flavored one! It's really great stuff, and you might want to grab a pint before having to see your in-laws for the big meal!

Today we introduce the character of Joshua! Looking at Numbers 13, Joshua was in the group of spies that Moses hand picked to go into Canaan and spy out their promised land. On their spy mission they found that the land was pretty awesome, with one major drawback: Canaan was inhabited by giants!! 

We also drink a very smooth and mellow blended Irish whiskey called The Quiet Man!

Today we drop a special episode here on the one year anniversary of the passing of an legend that has impacted countless lives around the world. Of course we're talking about none other than Stan Lee!

Stan is really the only celebrity death that has ever had an impact on me personally, and the one year anniversary of his passing has left me missing him. So, in a slightly therapeutic episode which is both fairly sober and somber, we talk about some aspects of his life, including his Jewish upbringing and my own hot take on how the Judeo-Christian Bible is the great grandfather of all western comic books!

In celebration of the spooky season we take a look at my favorite stories involving Zombies in the Bible! Technically not actual walking dead shambling hoard type zombies, but people who died and were raised from the dead! Coming back to life - even if no brains are being eaten is still pretty neat!

On today's episode (which just so happens to be our most buzzed recording yet) we discuss the story of Jonah! One of the most popular stories in the Bible, Jonah gets a book named after him even though he's actually a massive jerk! Seriously, this guy is NOT a role model! Storms of the century, giant fish, and magic vines all abound in the story of Jonah!

To tie in with the episode we snag a bottle of budget rum from our local Total Wine called Jonah's Curse Black Spiced Rum which turned out to be a sleeper hit! 

On today's episode we do our best to speed run through all of the book of Leviticus and some of Numbers quickly touching on such topics as building the Tabernacle, what to do with poop from animal sacrifices, incest porn, and finally finish with a story about Moses and his sister's accidentally showing her racism against his interracial marriage! 

We also try, for my very first time, Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey! It combines two of my favorite things into one bottle, sounds weird, but it's pretty great! 10/10 would recommend!

Getting Biblachol is back! We took a bit of a hiatus over the summer, but we're starting fresh now for the next year! In today's episode we used Google autocomplete to find out the internet's most searched about Bible questions! Port, tattoos, and rolling joints are just some of the topics we cover!

We also #TOASTtheTREES with Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey for National Bourbon Heritage month, and discuss how bourbon is different than other types of whiskeys!

In today's episode we cover the epic story of Moses receiving the 10 commandments found from Exodus chapter 18 all the way through chapter 34! Most people know the general story of the 10 commandments, but often don't realize all that's left out normally. The full story has a massive rager, people dying, righteous indignation, and Moses being caught up in God's version of "you break it, you buy it" policy.

We also drink and give thoughts on Legacy brand Canadian small batch whiskey!

In today's episode we see catch up with Moses and the Israelites from Exodus 15-17 in the wilderness where God magically delivers them clean drinking water, and sustenance by causing Chick-Fil-A and Panera Bread to fall from the sky! Also they get into their first full fledged war after being freed from slavery for, like, 37 minutes. It's a quick but packed episode as we set the stage for future stories of Moses!

On today's episode we dive into the traditions surrounding Easter Sunday from some kinky pagan fertility roots, to modern day chocolate overloads while sipping one of our favorite day drinking beers perfect for sitting outside watching kids hunt for plastic eggs!
